Procedures we can adopt



Generally there are three main crucial areas we recognized in procedures where the Sustainable organizations have achieved.

At Organizational level
·         Making a common written environmental policy by the Ran-Ruwan Co pvt ltd.
·         Generate a written Sustainable Management System plan
·         Ensure all policies concerning the protection of the environment are responsibly assigned
·         Ensure that the property has a minimum amount of procedures and practices in place, before informing guest and the public.
·         Instruct all management that the environmental protection role the business has adopted is their responsibility.
·         Set up an award system.

At employee level

·         Provide a thorough knowledge about the institute Green practices which has to be done by the Employees by providing them a Green Manual via the Company’s database.
·         Training the employees.
·         Advocating Employees to reduce the wastage to the minimum level.
·         Encouraging Energy saving practices such as Turning off Air Conditions when it‘s not needed, turning off lights and other power utilizing equipment when not using them.
·         Training Employees to practice 5 S concepts which is a world accepted concept in order to minimize the wastage, having a proper structure within the organization
·         Persuading Employees to practice Eco-Friendly practices in their homes.
·         Water saving practices – not letting water flow unnecessarily longer than it has too; report leaks; report dysfunctional or missing water managing apparatuses. Follow policy water saving procedures.
·         Using of recycle separation Dust Bins in the organization. For example separate bins for papers, food waste and lunch sheets or polithene.

At customer level
·         Involving customers of the organization’s Eco-friendly practices and obtain their proposals and suggestions to the Environmental measures in order to improve them.
·         Engaging and advocating them in energy saving and environment protection measures via various entertainment events.
·        Always persuade customers to think that they have a duty and a responsibility to protect the environment and making them believe that a miniature Energy saving can cause a large impact on the Environment that we live in.

  2. Very true indeed! All three parties of employees, the employer and the customers should come together in enabling environmental sustainability. Not just organization alone.
